CHARACTER: ATHLETE
During the aggression on Ukraine, Russian soldiers killed more than 400 Ukrainian athletes. Hundreds of stadiums, sports centres, gyms and swimming pools were destroyed. Thousands of young athletes and children fled abroad to escape the war. What does Ukrainian sport look like two years after the Russian attack began? A unique documentary giving testimony about sport in war-torn Ukraine. Interviews with relatives of athletes who died at the front or were hit by Russian missiles, as well as those who had to leave Ukraine because of the war and are now returning, and the story of a swimmer whose example shows how difficult it is to prepare for this year's Olympics in Paris when most of the sports venues were damaged in the Russian attacks.
